Community Wise was awarded a generous grant by the N+P Crayford MRF through their N+P in East Sussex Community Fund (NIES). This was for the purchase of 15 refurbished laptops for English in the Community (EiC)--ESOL classes facilitated and hosted by Community Wise at our community centre in Ocklynge Road, Eastbourne, through the help of our volunteer TEFL teachers. EiC holds 4 to 5 ESOL drop-in classes every week, with more than 80 students registered this year 2022.
The computers were purchased from one of our network partners, Computers for Charities (CfC). Simon of CfC immediately coordinated his volunteers to assemble the laptops for us, and our very own Sue and Martyn drove to CfC's warehouse to collect them.
We are really pleased and thankful for receiving this wonderful blessing, which in turn will bless more people who come to Community Wise.
