About the job
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the effective upkeep of equipment, systems, and facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety. Initially, you will be hands-on while leading a team, including a supervisor and technicians, in planning and executing maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This critical role requires you to work closely with operational teams to minimize downtime and drive improvements in operational efficiency.
In specific, your tasks will be the following:

Responsible for your own Health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of those at site.

Optimizing plant performance through forming an effective maintenance strategy.

Implement and enhance preventative maintenance practices.

Prepare and deliver the site maintenance budget.

Able to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines.

Experience in a mechanical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management.

Effective management of contractors on site supported through the relevant documentation and safety matters.
What do we expect from you?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Proficiency in maintenance software (e.g., CMMS), mechanical and electrical systems, and regulatory standards
- Knowledge of materials handling, conveying, mechanical system design
- Experience of delivering technical solutions from design through to implementation
- Implement and enhance preventative maintenance practices
- Able to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines
- Experience in a mechanical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management
